Trials Weekend Invitation, 18-19th October

Swedish Rowing Federation would like to invite athletes (U23-, para-, senior rowers) and coaches, to water and CII trials weekend at Göteborgs Roddklubb, Delsjön, 18-19th of October 2025. This will be the 1st trials of the 2026 season.

The athletes will be coordinated by Swedish Rowing Federation’s head coach Marco Galeone, assistant coach Malin Källström and sports manager Per Olof Claesson with assistance from club coaches who will accompany their athletes to the trials weekend.

Program
Lördag
8:00-9:00 Meeting and rigging at Göteborgs Roddklubb
9:30 Briefing and start order
10:30 First start “short boats’’ (Para1x, 1x or 2-), 3000m (running start with turning at the marked buoy at 1500m). In case of adverse weather conditions, this test will be on CII instead.
Lunch
15:00 Start CII 5k test session (a schedule for starting times will be posted before lunch break)
17:00 Video and technique meeting (60min)

Söndag
8:00 Meeting at Göteborgs Roddklubb
8:30 Briefing and start order
9:00 First start ‘’short boats” (same boat classes as on Saturday), 3000m (running start with turning at the marked buoy at 1500m)
11:00 Meeting ‘’Season 2026: Plan and way forward”
12:30 Avslutning

Boats and transport
All athletes will bring their own 1x/2- and oars. We will try to help coordinating transport from other districts.

Accomodation and food
All participants will have to book their own accommodation. GRK’s kitchen is free to use if you need to heat food, borrow plates, cutlery or glasses. Coffee and tea will be available throughout the weekend.

Cost
There will be no “deltagaravgift”/participation fee but everyone taking part will pay their own accommodation, food and transport of boats.

To sign up for the Trials weekend, please send name, club, name of club coach/contact person, phone number and mail address for both athletes and coach/club representative to Malin Källström no later than October 1st 2025. Please also send a copy of your Swedish passport (athletes only).
